Joint Central Committee

he Scottish Police Federation is the parent organisation of the Federation.

The Joint Central Committee represent all eight Scottish forces. They are made up from the three separate Central Committees – Constables, Sergeants and Inspectors (including Chief Inspectors).

The Joint Central Committee meets every two months.

Owing to the fact that Strathclyde accounts for almost half of the Scottish Police Service, Strathclyde Police Federation is afforded two representatives from each rank, all other forces have one representative.
